so, the moving process is underway. this takes a surprisingly long time when the place you've moving to has a leaking roof and totally demolished internal structure and is full of wet garbage. still, some headway has been made. the gas is on, the water is ready to be turned on, the heat works on the first floor and we just got a mini fridge. today we started the process of actually moving our stuff to the first floor, with a vanful of books.
it's a long, arduous, kind of miserable process, but it has its good points. the plan is to live on the first floor, which is vaguely habitable, until we can make the third floor awesome (as shown in the diagram above). then we will move up there. we will probably be out of this house within a week. hopefully we will have internet access in the new place soon, as i would love to resume updating regularly by january.

ReplyDeleteno, i can share...sometimes :) i just mostly need to sit in my chair when i'm working. and it's pretty good for nursing, too.
