before pictures

these aren't even really "before" pictures, they are more like "in between" pictures. when we bought the building, most areas were equipped with drop ceilings, fluorescent lights, fake wood paneling, disgusting carpets and grimy white paint over all available surfaces. this is one end of our third floor apartment after we'd done a ton of demolition including removing interior walls, carpet, ceiling, and so on.

this is the other end. our apartment is about 20' x 30', consisting of one largish main room and a small bathroom (on the far left in this picture). you can also see where the stairs come up from the second floor. one very nice feature is the three big windows at each end, which provide a lot of light and will really help keep it cool in the summer.

this is the kitchen. james ended up pulling all these fixtures out and replacing them.


this is a closet that was also totally removed. we now have an awesome built in desk in this area. our projected move-in day is wednesday, so hopefully we will be able to post some exciting "after" pictures soon.
