sometimes i think that the waldorf philosophy is a weird cult, but they sure do have some awesome toys! i think waldorf dolls like this are really cute. i am thinking of trying to make one for river if i am ever less busy.
a big thing with all the waldorf toys is that they're supposed to be made out of all natural materials. i think that works great for things like this tree fort and tree block sets, although at these prices river is a lot more likely to get some even more, um, natural, like maybe a bag of sticks.
something i am actually thinking of getting him is a teething necklace. apparently amber baby necklaces are a tradition in baltic europe, where they are believed to help relieve teething pain. i don't know, but they're cute and reasonably priced, so maybe we will give it a try.
