last week, in a burst of optimism, i decided to learn to crochet. i had a chance to go to joann's, and while i was browsing i saw a cool pattern and thought "i might as well learn to crochet, surely there's a diy fashion project in there somewhere that my readers would like to learn about." so i got some cheap yarn and a hook, and after some struggle and consultation i am on my way to making a shawl.then i found out today that i didn't get the job. i'm bummed. i put a lot of work into my trial project, and i thought it turned out well, but apparently someone else demonstrated a "greater depth and breadth of expertise". damn it. so today i'm drowning my sorrows in soy ice cream and crochet, and tomorrow i guess i'll be trying to think of more jobs i could do. and, hopefully, blogging again. i guess i will have to post my crochet updates here.
