Also, could this be part of our Saturn return? James and I are both between the ages of 28 and 30 (and were born with Saturn in Virgo), so the timing is right.
Anyway, things looked up a bit today when I got a note from Concha the Curious Curandera containing this milagro charm. According to Concha, the horse can represent working hard, good luck, or traveling. Well, I could definitely use all of those things, so this one is great for me. Thanks, Concha!
In other wonky news, I just found this synopsis of The Secret in 100 short notes. If you're not familiar with The Secret, it's a pop new-age phenomenon that promotes the law of attraction, and for a while you could hardly turn around without bumping into a reference to it. While I'm not completely opposed to this philosophy, I am extremely concerned about the sloppy interpretation that suggests that bad things happen to some people because they're less deserving than others (and thus, if you're fortunate, you're better than others), but if you're curious about the concept at least now you don't have to watch (or buy) the original.
Anway, having tough things happen just reminds me, when I'm in the right state of mind, of how good I really have it. My loved ones are delightful, well and mostly happy, we have good food and roofs over our heads, and that alone is plenty to be thankful for.
I am with you too! I need a miracle as well. I am 27 and wonder what is going on with me astrologically. Some one recently mentioned the Saturn Return to me, I have not really looked into it much. So, thanks for posting the link on your blog.
ReplyDeleteI know I am healing a lot right now and this is not always comfortable. But, as a warrior women I take the steps and heal.
I know as healers we all are preparing for so much in regards to the huge changes taking place on the planet right now. What do you think?
Yeah, I'm not really that into astrology, but I've heard a lot about the Saturn return so I was curious.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how all this could relate to planetary changes, also. Another thing in my life is that I'm doing a lot of personal work for my shamanic herbalism class, and I hear that a lot of people tend to go through external challenges when they are working on their internal issues...
Anyway, it usually turns out interestingly, but right now it's a little hard to see that.
We do go through external changes when working on internal changes. I agree that it can be hard to see changes and that it can seem like nothing is moving when in actuality a lot is moving. In Buddhism they call it, "sitting in the whole." Sometimes sitting in the "whole" is difficult but if we face what we are meant to face we move through and heal much more than we think. I am learning to move a bit slower in my healing process. I have also come to the understanding that healer happens in layers.
